Description
Hospitality Staff includes a variety of roles in the hospitality industry, such as servers, front desk agents, kitchen assistants, concierges, and housekeepers. They provide excellent service to guests, ensuring comfort, satisfaction, and a positive experience in hotels, restaurants, resorts, or event venues.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Guest Interaction
- Greeting and welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Responding to guest inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues
- Ensuring guests’ needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
- Upselling services and amenities (e.g., spa treatments, room upgrades)
2. Food & Beverage Service
- Taking orders and delivering food and drinks to customers
- Setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Assisting chefs or kitchen staff in food preparation and plating when necessary
- Ensuring guests' dietary requirements and preferences are met
3. Room Service & Housekeeping (if applicable)
- Making up guest rooms, changing linens, and cleaning bathrooms
- Restocking amenities (e.g., towels, toiletries, coffee supplies)
- Ensuring rooms are tidy and presentable according to standards
- Responding to guest requests for additional items or services
4. Front Desk & Administrative Tasks
- Checking guests in and out, processing payments, and managing reservations
- Handling phone calls, emails, and online booking inquiries
- Managing guest accounts and issuing room keys
- Coordinating with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen)
5. Event & Banquet Support (if applicable)
- Assisting in the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, or conferences
- Setting up tables, chairs, and event equipment according to specifications
- Providing support during events (serving food, ensuring guest satisfaction)
Requirements
Requirements:
Essential:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts
- Basic knowledge of hospitality operations (front desk, restaurant, room service)
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment
- Flexible schedule to accommodate shifts, weekends, and holidays
Desirable/Preferred:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role
- Knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Micros)
- Food safety or barista certification (if applicable)
- Ability to speak multiple languages (for international guests)
- First Aid or CPR certification (especially for large events or high-volume settings)
