Description
A Teaching Assistant (TA) supports teachers in delivering lessons, managing classroom activities, and assisting students with their learning. They help create a positive learning environment, provide individualized support, and perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth classroom operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students who need extra help.
- Supervise students during class, break times, and field trips.
- Grade assignments and maintain student records.
- Set up classroom equipment and ensure a tidy learning environment.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Communicate with parents and teachers about student progress.
Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may require a relevant certificate or associate degree).
- Previous experience in education or childcare is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with children.
- Basic knowledge of classroom technology and teaching tools.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from the lead teacher.
