Description

A Teaching Assistant (TA) supports teachers in delivering lessons, managing classroom activities, and assisting students with their learning. They help create a positive learning environment, provide individualized support, and perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth classroom operations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students who need extra help.
  • Supervise students during class, break times, and field trips.
  • Grade assignments and maintain student records.
  • Set up classroom equipment and ensure a tidy learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Communicate with parents and teachers about student progress.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may require a relevant certificate or associate degree).
  • Previous experience in education or childcare is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with children.
  • Basic knowledge of classroom technology and teaching tools.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from the lead teacher.
