Description
A Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in buildings such as offices, schools, hospitals, and public facilities. They perform routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities

- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Refill restroom supplies like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor leaks.
- Report any necessary repairs or safety hazards to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lock and secure doors/windows at the end of shifts if required.
Requirements
Requirements:
- No formal education required (a high school diploma is a plus).
- Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
