Description

An IT & Tech Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting an organization's technology infrastructure. They ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and networks while supporting users and implementing new technologies.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Providing IT support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems for users
  • Installing and configuring computer systems, applications, and peripherals

2. Network & System Administration

  • Managing and maintaining company servers, databases, and cloud systems
  • Setting up and monitoring cybersecurity measures to prevent threats
  • Ensuring network connectivity and troubleshooting outages

3. Software & Hardware Maintenance

  • Installing and updating operating systems and software applications
  • Repairing or replacing faulty hardware components
  • Managing IT inventory and procurement of new equipment

4. Cybersecurity & Data Protection

  • Implementing security policies to protect sensitive data
  • Monitoring systems for cyber threats and responding to incidents
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

5. IT Project Management & Innovation

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new IT solutions
  • Automating workflows and optimizing IT processes
  • Collaborating with different departments to enhance digital operations

Requirements

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable/Preferred:

  • Degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft, ITIL)
